yea i'm totally thinking that's some kind of butcher shop...hm...

Matty B said...

The title of the post is also from 1 Chronicles 18:4.

Matty B said...

Ok. Geez, it's almost 6am and I can't figure out what these clues mean.

I'm thinking maybe a new e-mail address and password. But what?

I hope someone else can look at this and figure it out right away, that would rock.

Also:

An animal is "hamstrrung" by severing the great tendon leading to the large muscle in the back of the leg. The cutting of the tendon cripples the horse permanently by severely restricting its ability to walk. If the tendons of both hind legs are severed then the animal cannot walk and will die.

sara said...

Ok, so the painting is by Lovis Corinth, and I'm pretty sure it's just titled "In the slaughterhouse"

[oh yea slaughterhouse=abbatoir, like on the 120 flier. mhm.]

And the picture is called '120'

Brandi said...

Argh, I won't be back for awhile, I hope someone figures this out in the meantime! Good luck!

Brandi said...

Well apparently alot of people have tried the email address Proverbs 12:10, so it's locked now. So does this mean that since there is an actual account for this on yahoo that it could possibly be the username we're looking for? Hmmm. Alright, I'm really going to go now.

Mystro said...

okay... lets review a little

this pic is titled 120

but the actual name of it is in the slaughterhouse...

120= place where demons are slaughtering people, at least figurativly, or in the sense that their spirits are being slaughtered

kristin said...

Wow... this painting is very good, but very disturbing. It's hard for me to look at it for too long.

kristin said...

ps- Thanks for sort of defending what I said yesterday, Matty. I didn't mean any of that in a bad way, sorry! But that doesn't matter right now, so... I have to start putting these clues together and what-not.

Mary said...

yeah I didn't think you meant anything bad about it either.

valerie said...

well i'm totally nowhere on this one.
we have proverbs 12:10, 2 sam 8:4, and 1 chr 18:4

i can't even figure out who the painting is by... looks like bastida, but i don't think so. pisarro? hm.

the whole thing is a little contradictory. david was a righteous man in the bible, yet killing the animals that way isn't nice, but that's one verse out of context... idk. it's weird, those verses together.

Mary said...

Sara said the painting was by Lovis Corinth.

kristin said...

Lovis Corinth (July 21, 1858-July 17, 1925) was a German painter and printmaker whose mature work realized a synthesis of impressionism and expressionism.

(?)

kristin said...

Did we ever find out what the "13 1 0 11" meant in the 004 pic?

rawrawkaholic said...

kristin, it meant Mark and it wasn't an 0 it was a square, also Valerie, David didn't write Proverbs, his son Solomon did, David wrote Psalms

valerie said...

yeah, it was actually 13 1 (square) 11

the corresponding letters are M A (square) K,
and there was a 5:9 at the bottom of the page. that verse is where "legion" came from.

and now we know that a sqare in the next hand video will be an R

valerie said...

david was the one who hamstrung the horses.

kristin said...

Yeah but she's talking about how David is the one who "hamstrung all but a hundred of the chariot horses" in Proverbs 12:10.

kristin said...

Oh. Sorry val didn't mean to speak for you there =]

valerie said...

hahahaha... is all good. =)

what i meant was, the hamstringing was done in 2 samuel and 1 chronicles, and it was done by david, a righteous man. but the picture has the proverbs verse saying that the righteous are kind to the animals. i don't know if we're supposed to infer something by that... and nothing stands out that looks like a clue, either.

sara said...

Yea, that's what I was thinking. The verses totally contradict each other, well they show that a righteous man didn't do a righteous thing atleast.

Hmm. So I've just really started to get into all this crap today. I've spent hours reading everything. I'm completely lost. D:

Brandi said...

I don't necessarily think that the first part is the only thing to focus on.
"But the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel."
For some reason that stands out to me.

I also found a website that said "massac-" is latin for slaughterhouse, such as "massacre or macellum". I think maybe abattoir is French, but I'm not sure.

Anonymous said...

david was a righteous man, but not a perfect one if you recall.
at any rate, i don't think they are meant to contradict, but rather, to relate, they could both simply be meant (here) as verses about about violence towards animals, and thats what we are seeing in the painting.
there must be a step available, because with two separate things figured out, it usually means the next move is ours??

Brandi said...

Also if you read further on, it said that God made David victorious in whatever he did... I'm interpreting even in the killing of people and their horses too.

Anonymous said...

i'm sure it's just a username password combo based on the scripture, just having a hard time figuring it out.

valerie said...

me toooo bryan... i'm so glad yahoo does that "this ID has not been taken" thing, that narrows it down some.

besides the scriptures, i've tried things like abattoir, slaughterhouse, lovis corinth, etc.
haha, i'm so bad at it.

Brandi said...

But what I'm thinking is that it might be Proverbs1210 because the account is locked b/c so many people tried different passwords and it's not going to work if the account it locked.
All the other usernames that I have tried have said, "ID not in use" or something like that. The proverbs one obviously has an account, and who would have an account name like that? Just a thought.

kristin said...

What do you mean by the username being "locked"? Cause all it does is make you type what's in the little box. But will it completely shut down for a while if you try too many passwords?

Brandi said...

Yeah, it did for me. I had to clear my cache and history to get it to work again. It's the only one I've tried so far though that has said "invalid iD or password".
The other ones have only said "ID not taken", so I'm just assuming that it has to at least be a username since it hasn't said, "ID not taken". I don't know though.

valerie said...

btw, KAYLIE, check out giverny's blog (in the comments on the previous post) and if you want, message me i'll try and get you up to speed.

Brandi said...

I also checked the availability of proverbs1210 and it says the ID is taken and unavailable.
The other 2 can't be those exact usernames b/c yahoo states that a username can't begin with a number.

Someone else may have that ID, who knows?

valerie said...

hmm, just now i was trying to get a brainwave, googling random words from those scriptures, i came across this in dictionary.com, an example sentence for hamstrung:
Their efforts were hamstrung by stubborn pride.

i thought it was sorta interesting right after the 'condition of the self' stuff.

kristin said...

That's sort of a weird name for just anybody to have. But like you said, who knows? All I know is I'm frustrated with yahoo =[

Anonymous said...

well, if the fourteen_six_john email taught us anything, it's that sometimes they can be spelled out, and sometimes be a variation of numbers and spelled out words...

Brandi said...

Okay, I have to leave for awhile after this, but I thought also that it's odd that he spelled out "a hundred" instead of the number itself. Could be something I don't know. Hopefully by the time I get back someone may have figured it out.

kristin said...

I have to go run a mile, then I'm going to youth group... I hope I don't miss anything.

sara said...

that's exactly what i was thinking bryan. and in the 004 picture, we didn't even use the verse, we just used a word from it.

so im thinking maybe it wont be THAT simple.

and also

2samuel84 and 1chronicles184

are valid emails,
rather or not their for the game i cant figure out.

Anonymous said...

i'm very curious - obviously - where this is going. in all honesty, some of this is scary. or maybe i've just been reading far too much ray bradbury =P

CJ said...

Maybe it's a pair of email addresses.

Oh and Mystro, your first comment on this post seems important to me... It seems like something Josh would describe.

Janie Kamenar said...

That's odd; both 2samuel84 and 1chronicles184 show up as not taken for me..

valerie said...

same here, they're not taken when i try them.

i'm hoping that this is part of a clue, like the way we had fallenFALLEN a little while before we had anything that went with it.

Anonymous said...

no ones cracked it yet? yeah.. im thinkin we need more info. or hoping. haha. im tired of guessing.

valerie said...

secondsamueleightfour

is an actual address... think it's one for this? what could the password be?

valerie said...

WOOOHOOO that's it. the pass is the other verse.

Anonymous said...

yay! i got in! thanks val =)

ok well like ive said ive been gone so i dont know if any one has mentioned this but i was looking at some old emails and pics and the one that they sent with the subject 004 in the picture theres an = sign replacing the letter e and then in another email... cant remember which but on the hand it says ma(square)k so the square is r..

Mary said...

do you spell everything out like in the username?

and yes we got that already, but good job.

leonawendy said...

haha oh ok... theres like 400 comments that im reading through trying to figure it out! haha!

kristin said...

Eww... that picture of the baby is horrible =[ This isn't turning out good... I don't like this any more!

Mary said...

Kristin, do you know the password?

Anonymous said...

kristin, the picture freaked me out as well but i am pretty sure it is a newborn being washed off in a hospital. not sure if that will make you feel better or not... but i dont think it is anything really strange. probably just josh or one of the other band members baby picture.

kristin said...

Yes I know the password. It seems so obvious now... and I was trying to figure it out ALL DAY!

Mary said...

can you give it to me by myspace or something? I'm so stuck and I bet it is extremely obvious.

kristin said...

Sure I will, what's your myspace address?

leonawendy said...

hey can you email it to me also?

horseshus@tampabay.rr.com

Brandi said...

So whoever DF gets from the 120, sends them to KF to be slaughtered.

The center picture is a newborn baby...
In a previous email it's stated, "The center continues to grow as we wished, however this is not a reason for negligence"
hmmm.

Anonymous said...

wow. finally got in. feel so stupid. i was dancing around the right thing forever.. and finally typed it in right.. :D

Matty B said...

Well. I just don't know what to make of these new findings.

We see how the primary focus was introduced by Subject 3 into the 120 for practical reasons. She apparently has been assigned to both the dance floor and killing floor. What that means, we still don't know.

I wonder what the primary focus reluctantly attempted to intervene with, but was denied.

It's obviously really loud at the 120. Because In just about every conversation between Jurgis and Ona, Jurgis has to repeat herself cause Ona didn't hear her the first time.

yuck.. but cool.. very interesting. dont think the pictures are gonna take us anywhere. they're just kinda telling the story taking shape at the moment. dunno.
